Benny Tones is the founder of Organik Muzik Workz – a boutique production studio based in Newtown, Wellington. Having studied Audio Engineering at the Institute of Animation and Technology, he has established himself over the past 5 years as a recording and mix engineer.

His work has seen him cross a number of musical genres, working with artists such as; Solaa, Pacific Heights, Module,  Julien Dyne, Harbour City Electric, P Bass Expressway, Electric Wire Hustle, Mara TK, Shihan the Poet and Iva Lamkum.

Being aware of the difficulties often faced when entering a formal studio setting, Tones has taken time to establish Organik Muzik Workz as an environment that allows artists to feel comfortable and unintimidated by the recording and mixing process.

“My aim is for every person working with Organik Muzik Workz to come away feeling as though they have had as much input into the process as they are comfortable with. In the end every project is unique and requires its own approach. My job is to utilize all my skills to understand what each person wants to achieve and how I can best meet this. It shouldn’t be more difficult than this.”
